2. Use vector graphics
To maintain the quality of various sizes do your logo in vector graphics, which consists of geometric elements such as points, lines and circles, which together describe an image mathematically. Raster graphics however, consists of predetermined pixels which works well for photographs and images but is bad for shapes and logos. Common vector graphic formats is EPS or AI.
3. Smart use of color
Choosing the color of the logo can sometimes be difficult. Colors say a lot about the company and how they want to be perceived. The colors must be of sufficiently high contrast so that it doesn’t becomes difficult for the eyes, so be careful with too bright colors. The logo must work in black and white and grayscale. It may therefore be helpful to have a form that can be recognized even if it lacks color.
4. Take it easy with effects
Most design programs are full of effects and filters that you can use in your logo. This is not recommended if you want it to be clear and simple. Effects are also very trend-dependent and they quickly become obsolete. It can also cause the logo to becomes indistinct at smaller sizes.
5. Choose fonts carefully
Fonts are one of the most important part of a logo and just like color they convey feelings and thoughts. A very important and difficult part of logo creation is to choose a font that suits the logo, the company and the feeling you want to convey. Do not choose fonts without doing a thorough analysis, because the wrong font can be crucial to whether the logo is working or not.
